It is time to get real about climate change. We no longer have the time to be dancing around the issue or giving deference to stupidity. The climate is changing, the planet is warming and mankind is contributing to it. That is settled science. The sunrise is in the east, the sunset is in the west, the earth is round and our climate is changing due to human activity over the past 100 + years: All scientific facts.
Given this scientific fact, available for anyone to digest at their personal leisure, there can only be two reasons for a person to deny that climate change is occurring: The person denying climate change is an idiot; or the person denying climate change is pandering to that idiot.
Those who deny climate change reside almost entirely within the Republican Party. The irony here is that the states that are controlled by Republicans are getting hit first and getting hit the hardest by climate change. Of course it is up to the rest of America to come to the aid of those idiots as the ocean consumes their states and hurricanes destroy what is left.
Those in the media, the Democrats, Liberals and sane Republicans need to start calling out these people for the idiots they are. Until the rest of America starts pushing back on this Republican/Conservative insanity, nothing will get done to mitigate the damage that is occurring due to climate change and that will continue to get worse and exponentially more expensive until we do something about it.
It is way past time that every sane American began to push back on this delusional insanity. The next time a Republican politician says he or she doesn’t believe in the reality of climate change, someone needs to ask him or her this question: “Are you an idiot, or just pandering to the idiots?”
The sad truth is that the biggest threat the United States faces today is the Republican Party and the Greedy Rich class who funds them.
